Assessment
There are three aspects to assessment at Jiva:
1. Skill Chart
A skill chart that identifies qualities of honesty leadership,
motivation, punctuality, speaking, listening, writing, homework,
cleanliness, etc. Students receive marks on these skills,
which are further added to their percentage.
2. Projects
Students are also assessed on a variety of interdisciplinary
projects that they perform during the school tenure. Students
work on these projects either individually or in groups.
Teachers test them on a number of academic and interpersonal
skills which provide the students an overall knowledge about
the topic.
3. Examinations
Apart from regular class tests and unit tests, examinations
are conducted twice a year—half yearly and final exams.
An average of 40% is required for promotion to the next
class. It is compulsory for the students to pass all the
subjects to be promoted to the next class. Besides this,
at least 75% attendance in the Academic year is required.
