Dr. Chauhan's Profile

Dr. Partap Chauhan is an author, public speaker, TV personality and master Ayurvedic physician. He currently serves as the Director of Jiva Ayurveda and spearheads all its medical and pharmaceutical activities. His TV shows, which are broadcast on leading channels such as Sahara News National, Care World TV, News 24, Darshan 24, Disha TV and Sahara News UP have a consolidated viewership of more than 50 million people. As one of the most traveled Ayurvedic physicians in the world, Dr. Chauhan has been dedicating himself to popularizing Ayurveda across the globe since 1992, having given consultations and conducted workshops and lectures in over 50 countries.

Dr. Chauhan (B.A.M.S.) is a silver medalist in Ayurveda from the University of Delhi, India. He is an expert in treating the so-called incurable diseases, in Pharmacology and Rasashastra. He is also the pioneer in applying modern technology to the ancient science of Ayurveda, having set up the world’s first Ayurvedic website (www.jiva.com) in 1995 that provides free health consultancy, online courses and lifestyle advice. He is also credited with initiating the world’s first Ayurvedic telemedicine center that provides free health consultations through phone. Dr. Chauhan established the Jiva Ayurveda Clinics in several Indian cities as well as in Europe, which treat thousands of patients every year from all over the world. At the Jiva Pharmacy (manufacturing unit), he has developed over 500 classical and more than 70 proprietary authentic healthcare and beauty products.

Author of two bestselling books, Eternal Health and Eternal Beauty, and dozens of DVD videos on health problems, Dr. Chauhan teaches Ayurveda both at Jiva as well as in other countries. He is a regular contributor to several international health periodicals and magazines. He has also conducted hundreds of stress-management workshops for government officers, defense scientists and corporate executives from companies such as IBM, Nokia and Airtel. Dr. Chauhan has successfully partnered with several foreign organizations such as Grida Group (Lithuania), ParamAyu (Croatia), Terre-du-Ciel (France), Ajurveda Academy (Lithuania), Ajurweda.pl (Poland), Ananda Association (France), Ecology Health Labs Co., Ltd. (representing Jiva Japan), Daewoong Pharmaceuticals (South Korea), Namaste Ayurveda (Mexico), and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health (USA) to promote the concept of holistic wellness through Ayurveda and bring more people to the Jiva Center in India for treatments and training.

Dr. Chauhan is a member of the Advisory Committee, Ministry of Health, Govt. of India and the prestigious NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association), USA. He also serves as the Chairman, International Cell to AIIMGA (All India Indian Medicine Graduate Association, New Delhi). He is visiting professor to Ayurveda Gurukula, Japan and Klaipeda University, Lithuania and advisor to Evenementy Q, Poland and Savera International, South Africa.

Winner of several national and international accolades, his telemedicine project, TeleDoc, won him UN World Summit Award. He was also awarded the Best Ayurvedic Physician Award by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India.
