Mr. Mathur (name changed) had complaints of outgrowth on the right side of his chest, as a result of a physical trauma (fall) on the chest region. The outgrowth was hard in consistency and tender to touch. The problem was diagnosed as Keloid, a firm, hard mass which is benign, non-contagious and sometimes accompanied by severe itchiness and pain. It usually leads to obstruction in blood supply in the affected region.
For over one year, Mr. Mathur had tried all kinds of medicines but nothing seemed to relieve the pain. In fact, many doctors had advised him surgery. Additionally, he was also having a lot of trouble because of his chronic problem of sleep insomnia. He contacted the Jiva Ayurveda TeleMedicine Center in an effort to find a solution to his problem.
A Jiva Ayurveda doctor analyzed his case and diagnosed it as Granthi (the problem of Keloid as described in Ayurveda). He was prescribed medicines for Sroto Shodhan (removing blockage from the body’s channels), so as to make way for unobstructed flow of blood and improve its circulation in the chest region. The medicines were largely aimed at balancing his aggravated Kapha dosha (Ayurvedic humor representing Water).
Additionally, the doctor also gave Mr. Mathur certain herbal formulations to treat his problem of insomnia. In terms of diet and lifestyle recommendations, he was advised to stop taking fatty or heavy foods, and practice Pranayam, a highly effective breathing technique.
In the first month of treatment, his outgrowth became soft in consistency and reduced in size. His pain also got reduced and he was feeling much better. And, within two months, the Keloid had fully disappeared and the patient was feeling quite fit and healthy. His problem of insomnia was also completely cured within the first month of treatment.
“I was in a terribly painful state for the last one year due to the Keloid in my chest. Jiva gave me tailor-made plans for treatment, diet and lifestyle. In just two months, my Keloid disappeared and am feeling quite fit now. Thank you Jiva.”
