Jiva launches Project Sanskar to provide global education to deprived children
Jiva, in its effort to foster life-wellness at the grass-root level, has recently launched Project Sanskar that aims to provide deprived children with the combined power of global education and Indian values. The project has been started at the Jiva centre at Vrindavan, India with a group of 100 children who are given free food and education. The free classes are conducted by Jaya Devi (nee Gerda Staes), a Belgium-born Sanskrit scholar and the secretary of Jiva Institute of Vedic Studies. Along with free education, distribution of books and writing materials are also provided under this project. Children are served with nutritious and delicious Indian food such as Kicheri, Kheer and Puri on a daily basis.
