How to Keep Your Bladder Healthy and Prostate Problems at Bay

Prostate problems are common among men, and while there could by any number of factors causing it, the biggest culprit is the improper functioning of the bladder. If you’re in the habit of suppressing your urge to urinate, it can end up irritating the prostate and leading to problems.

Here are some tips that will help you urinate properly and flush the toxins out of your body

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep the urine from becoming too concentrated.

  • If you have a prostate problem, do not drink any water after 7 PM. When the bladder is full at night, it puts pressure on the prostate and disturbs your sleep when you wake up frequently to urinate.

  • When you urinate, make sure your bladder is empty completely. The urethra has a very narrow passageway and when the prostate’s enlarged, it becomes even narrower. If you’re In a hurry, the urine won’t be drained properly from the bladder, which can lead to further problems.

  • Constipation can also worsen your prostate problem. It creates an obstruction in the apana vata, which increases ama in the blood tissues, leading to excessive dryness in the entire area. To ease constipation, have stewed apples, raisins, figs, and prunes for breakfast. Mix 2-4 tsp of isabgol in warm milk and have this before going to bed.

Boil 2 liters of water. To this, add 3 leaves of tulsi, ¼ tsp coriander seeds, 1/3 tsp fennel seeds, and six fresh cucumber seeds or pumpkin seeds. Drink this water throughout the day to dissolve ama, flush out the toxins, and purify the urine.
