Do you experience periods longer than 7 days, seem to bleed large clots, and stain your clothes even though you’ve only just changed your sanitary napkin? If yes, you should consult a doctor immediately because you may be suffering from Menorrhagia, a menstrual problem that causes excess and heavy bleeding. In addition to that, try these yoga asanas!

Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose)

  • Stand with your legs 1-2 feet apart.

  • Place your right hand on the floor in front of your right foot.

  • Lift your left leg up until it is parallel to the ground all while keeping your right hand on the ground.

  • Extend your left hand to the sky and fix your gaze on it.

  • Hold for as long as comfortable. Repeat on the other side.

Adho Mukha Shvanasana (Downward Facing Dog)

  • Start on all fours.

  • Slowly lift your knees off the floor till your legs are straight and your body is in a ‘V’ position.

  • Making sure your feet are flat against the floor and your spine is straight, hold for 1 minute.

  • Repeat 3-5 times.

Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend)

  • Start standing straight with your feet together and spine straight.

  • Bending at the waist, touch your toes or grip your ankles with your hands.

  • Making sure your knees aren’t bent, hold for 20-30 seconds.

  • Repeat 3-5 times.
