There are many reasons why you might suddenly start breaking out into pimples and acne - pollution, dust, or even bad skincare routine. But Ayurveda believes that excess kapha and vata dosha that impair the proper formation of rakhta and medha dhatu can lead to acne.
Poor diet is one of the leading factors of this condition and having a healthy diet can help with the problem. In addition, here are a few Ayurvedic tips that come in handy when you are dealing with acne problem.
Take equal amounts of ground black pepper (Kaali mirch), nutmeg (jaiphal) and sandalwood (chandan). Make a paste by adding a little rose water. Apply on the affected area for 10 minutes and wash off.
Use Rose Water to clean your face 2-3 times a day.
Pound orange peels, mix with water and apply on the affected area for 10-15 minutes. Also, you can grind the dried peels and store them for later use.
Apply nutmeg and milk paste on your face and let it dry. Wash it off with warm water. If the procedure is followed three times a day, positive results can be seen in just a few days.
Make a paste of neem leaves and water. Apply on the affected area and wash it off after 15 minutes.
You can also apply fresh mint juice on your face every night. It reduces pimples and keeps skin from drying.
Mix equal quantities of lemon juice and rose water. Apply and leave it on for 30 minutes. It reduces pimples and removes blemishes and scars if applied regularly for 15-20 days.
