Stretch Marks, Be Gone!

Jiva teamAyurveda speaks of a condition known as Kikkisa, which describes linear demarcations on the surface of a pregnant woman’s skin, similar to stretch marks. It is caused by the imbalance of Kapha and Pitta, the former being responsible for the itching sensation while the latter causes a burning sensation on the skin. to upload

Ayurvedic Remedy for Stretch Marks

  • Apply sesame oil to areas that are prone to stretch marks - the sides and the lower part of the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, and the breasts – 15 minutes before having a bath. This will allow the skin to stretch without leaving marks on it

  • Mix equal parts of sesame oil and almond oil and use to improve skin tone and prevent stretch marks.

  • Mix 100 ml of sesame oil and 5 gms of haldi (turmeric). Heat on low flame for 2 minutes and cool. Keep in an airtight container. Women with skin problems should use it to prevent stretch marks and clear their skin.

  • Mix 100 ml sesame oil and 10 ml kumkumadi thailam and apply for improved complexion and prevent stretch marks.
