4 Ayurvedic Spices To Add To Your Pantry

According to Ayurveda, herbs and spices are the best and natural way to improve health. Turn your kitchen into a mini Ayurvedic clinic by using these four medicinal spices that improve your health.

Carom Seeds (Ajwain)

The next time you cry out in pain, reach for Ajwain seeds. This ayurvedic herb works as a potent painkiller, offering instant relief from pain. It also helps relieve bloating, gas and constipation. Chew a pinch of ajwain on empty stomach every morning and swallow with lukewarm water.

Saffron (Kesar)

Saffron has been used as a key component in many ayurvedic beauty treatments as it enhances the complexion. It also helps reduced the feeling of nausea and treats headaches. Just rub a little bit of saffron with pure white butter and inhale the fragrance for a few minutes to get almost instant relief from migraines.

Turmeric (Haldi)

Ginger (Adrak)

Ginger is known to prevent ailments like gas, indigestion, constipation and bloating. Fresh ginger soothes a sore throat, prevents the common cold, cough, also helps with respiratory conditions like bronchitis, and pneumonia. Add ginger to your diet for relief in cough and cold. You can also take ginger tea. Chew a slice of ginger with a pinch of Saindhav Lavan and drink a cup of lukewarm water 15 minutes before meals to improve appetite.
