Observing symptoms of allergies in your child? Weak immunity cannot prevent disease-causing germs from entering the body and during season changes, immunity is naturally weakened. Immunity, according to Ayurveda, is influenced by the person’s Ojas, which is produced when the body receives best nutrition and it is disease-free. So, by enhancing Ojas, you give your child better protection against germs.
There are special times of the year when you should take special care to protect the Ojas in your child. Change of seasons make us very vulnerable to diseases, and since children and seniors are more at risk of diseases, it becomes even more important to enhance their immunity and protect their Ojas. Here are some simple tips.
Put 5-6 leaves of Tulsi in clean water and bring it to a boil. Let it cool and then strain the leaves out. Give your child this water to drink at school. Paneer, milk, pulses, whole grains, fresh fruits are some good example of Ojas enhancing foods.
Mild spices add flavour to food and assists the digestive power of the body by breaking down the food in making the nutrients more easily available to the body. Also, these do not interfere or damage the food’s natural intelligence or nutritional properties. Ayurveda suggests adding spices like turmeric, cumin, black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom in food.
