Quick and Simple Home Remedies for Constipation

Constipation is a very common problem in India. In Ayurveda, constipation happens when Vata Dosha in the body becomes excess due to wrong diet or wrong lifestyle practices. Suppressing natural urges is another reason for constipation.

That is why it is necessary that if you get constipation, you should know the remedies.

Here are some easy home remedies that can help you get quick relief from constipation:

Triphala Churna

Triphala is an age-old remedy for constipation. Made from three Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki, this cleanser is extremely good for digestive problems. You can either take Triphala Churna or Triphala tablets everyday for regular bowel movement.

Olive oil

Olive oil is considered to be very good for stimulating your digestive system and to remove stomach disorders. Drink a spoonful olive oil in the empty stomach every morning. This gives you great relief from constipation. If you want, you can also add lemon juice with olive oil.

Psyllium Husk (Isabgol)

It is a major source of dietary fibre and has been a part of ayurvedic remedy for more than 70 years.This ayurvedic supplement improves digestion and provides quick relief in constipation. Take psyllium husk with lukewarm water for normal bowel movement.

Curd

To remove the disease of constipation, there should be good bacteria inside your stomach and a good bacterium means curd. You can consume one to two cups of yogurt throughout the day. By doing this, your body's temperature will also be normal, as well as it will help you in constipation.

Hadad

Mix 1 teaspoon Hadad powder with a pinch of Sandhav Namak and take it with a cup of lukewarm water at night before going to bed. This will help in clearing bowels in the morning.

Figs (Anjeer)

Take 1-2 figs and soak them overnight in water. The next morning eat the figs on an empty stomach 1 hour before breakfast.
