The Wonders of Triphala in Subduing Piles

Piles are swollen and inflamed veins in the anal region which causes symptoms like pain, bleeding, itching, and soreness. It is a very common problem and occurs due to improper functioning of the digestive system, pregnancy, obesity, excessive weight lifting, and age. Piles can be internal (if present inside the rectum) or external (if piles mass prolapses and lies outside the anal region).

Symptoms of piles:

Piles lead to a lot of discomforts, symptoms being:

  • Bleeding during the bowel movement

  • Soreness and pain during passing stool

  • A sensation of unsatisfactory emptying of the bowel

  • Itching in and around the anus

If not treated or controlled the symptoms can lead to strangulated piles, anemia, anal and colorectal cancer.

Constipation is the major digestive disturbance which causes piles. It causes strain during defecation due to the hard stool which when passes through the anus irritates the veins around them and they get swelled up. Therefore to treat piles it is very important to treat constipation.
