Easy Ayurvedic tips to control joint pains

Aching with pain, the nation today has a situation wherein one in every three families mostly women and adults under the age of 30 are suffering from arthritis in India. With irregular diets and faulty lifestyle habits becoming a part of their daily routine, a majority of young people are facing the problems as serious as osteoarthritis (sandhivata) which was earlier an old-age problem only. Thankfully, Ayurveda offers relief from the severe most joint pains in the easiest most methods that involve strengthening the body’s endurance and guaranteeing long-term protection from the aching pain.

Here are a few Ayurvedic tips that will help you with deep and efficient pain relief:

Oleation:

This procedure involves the application of herbal oils on the affected part of the body or on the overall body. The fatty substance works as an effective medium to reach down the tissues and infuse in the medicinal ingredients to every cell of the body. It also purifies up the toxin elements stuck in deep inside the cells.

Fomentation:

Fomentation involves hot pack application to soften the body tissues and make the joints more flexible and strong. The therapy loosens up the deep-rooted toxins and flushes them out of the body in the form of sweat.

Pizhichil therapy:

Considered as an excellent therapy to relieve joint, muscular and neurological problems. Pizhichil therapy involves treating the body with streams of lukewarm medicated oil with simultaneous soft massage. This will relieve pain, nourish the nerves and muscles, reduce stress, and induce peace of both mind and body.

Potali massage:

This is a massage done with special bags dipped in warm oil and is considered great option to relieve pain, reduce physical and mental stress, and nourish and rejuvenate the body. These hot bags or potli as we call them in Ayurveda include medicinal herbs and other nutritional items.
